Hello, my name is Alan, and I'd like to welcome you to my Tram & LRT (Light Rapid Transit) Gallery. This section contains a number of my older 'scanned' 35mm images, plus some of my more recent digital images, mostly taken in the past three years.
Many of the scanned shots that are currently displayed here were taken around the times that the Manchester Metrolink, and Sheffield Supertram systems were first opened back in the early nineties, and were scanned from the original transparencies. The quality isn't always that great, but I thought they were worth including here due to their historical significance. As time and opportunity permits I hope to re-visit a number of these locations in the near future, as it's always interesting to see how things have changed over the years.
I am also interested in photographing many other modes of transport, as well as many other subjects, so do pay a visit to my Railway, Bus, Aviation, Maritime, Outside Broadcast Unit, Emergency Vehicle (Police, Fire, Ambulance etc.), Construction (Wind Farms, Building sites, major Civil Engineering Projects etc.), and Heritage (everything else) Galleries if you are also interested in any of these subjects.
